 Flying Tigers to Hell's Angels
4 Dec 2002 @ 20:00

From Eclectricity: The Hell's Angels motorycylce club had its origins in the famous Flying Tigers volunteer fighter group that flew combat in China against Japan before the United States entered the Second World War. One of the three squadrons was known as "Hell's Angels". When one of the flyers, Arvid Olsen, returned from the War, he missed the speed and adventure of flying. He rediscovered it in motorcycles, and the riding group he put together named themselves for his old fighter squadron. They also wore the same leather jackets, heavy boots, helmets and goggles they had during the war.
